Hurry up but slow down

I’m hoping this doesn’t just sound like one big rant and hopefully someone out there can sympathize with me…please…anyone…let me explain.

When I wake up in the morning my first thought is always the same, I have xx amount of minutes to have a shower and then Olivia will be up. Once I jump in the shower it is usually just a few minutes until her little face is pressed up against the glass “Mummy, Mummy did I have a big sleep?” ” Yes Olivia now hurry up and go to the toilet so we can get ready for school.”

Day Trip To Dublin

On Saturday myself along with an amazing group of ladies that I have been fortunate enough  to have met through the squares of Instagram headed off for the day to Dublin.

We got the Goldliner Express bus down which only cost £17.00 for an open return as it suited better than the train for pick up and drop off locations. Some of the ladies got on in Belfast, Sprucefield and then a few of us got on in Banbridge so it was extremely convenient. We arrived into Dublin’s bus station just shy of 2 hours later after a quick stop at the airport.

Life behind the hyperlinks

One massive positive that has come from social media in the last few months for me has been meeting some of the lovely people behind the squares of instagram or linked to blogs I read. It has been highlighted by a number of people on social media sites such as insta, Facebook and through different blogs I have read just about how positive this little community here in Northern Ireland can be. Having attended a few events since starting my blog is has been so nice to meet up with similar minded people who really go out of their way to include you in things

Weekend Retreat

There is one place that I will always love that is so special to Christopher and I as a couple and that is the wonderful Galgorm Resort & Spa and we are biased because it’s the place we got married in all those years ago.  We where fortune enough to spend all day Saturday there as part of their Afternoon Tea & Thermal Experience and it was bliss, granted we are experiencing a heat wave so it was heated bliss 🙂

Berlin

At the beginning of February  we spent a few days in Berlin child free thanks to my wonderful in-laws. It was a special christmas treat for us to get away and it was definitely much-needed. I would love to say it was very relaxing but it was go go go from the start but we didn’t mind as it was great to see the city in all its glory.

Viva Las Vegas

You cant turn on the TV or check the news without seeing the words ‘Las Vegas’ mentioned everywhere after the mass shooting at the weekend. Back in August Chris and I were very fortunate enough to be able to enjoy a little break here. It was my birthday present tied in with a thank you from Chris for all that I do for the girls and him, not that I need a thank you but who says no to Vegas?! Plus I think it was to earn some brownie points for the FIVE stag weekends he has been away on….I know I’m a good wife 🙂 Even with all the talk about the city both postive and negative its still one of the most favourite and memorable places I have ever been and I wanted to share our trip with everyone.

Day trip to Cannes

While staying in Theoule Sur Mer we were just a 15 minute train journey from Cannes. I have always wanted to go and see all the super yachts and the glamorous boutiques so after splashing out a whopping €5 on our 4 train tickets..and that was 1st class of course, it was an early start to catch the train.

Holidays on the French Riviera

After much deliberation this year we finally decided on the South of France for our holidays. We started looking at different locations last year even before Zanna was born and we knew after last years holiday in Salou we didn’t want to do a package holiday. It just wasn’t for us this year. Maybe in a couple of years it will suit the girls better but at the minute Olivia just loves being outside running around so we knew we wanted a beach location and an apartment close at hand. That is exactly what we got when we booked Theoule Sur Mer.
