There is one place that I will always love that is so special to Christopher and I as a couple and that is the wonderful Galgorm Resort & Spa and we are biased because it’s the place we got married in all those years ago.  We where fortune enough to spend all day Saturday there as part of their Afternoon Tea & Thermal Experience and it was bliss, granted we are experiencing a heat wave so it was heated bliss 🙂

We started our day with their spring afternoon tea in the conservatory with a selection of sandwiches including  Bocconcini, Sun Blushed Tomato and Pesto Brioche Buns, Baked Ham, Mature Cheddar, Tomato Chutney on Brown Bread, Goats Cheese, Caramelised onion, Spinach and a Smoked Salmon Blini accompanied by a beautiful coriander soup.

This was then followed by both buttermilk scones and Raspberry & White Chocolate Scones served with Clotted Cream & Homemade Mixed Berry Jam and a selection of mini desserts including Strawberry Trifle, Chocolate and Mint Macaroon, Apple Turnover and a Lemon and Raspberry Friand.

The thermal village comprises of an indoor and outdoor pool, a snow cabin, celtic sauna, sanarium, numerous hot tubs and a serenity garden. It is absolutely beautiful and a lovely way to spend your afternoon relaxing.

The surrounding areas at Galgorm are spectacular especially in the sunshine and we definitely felt like we sailed home totally rejuvenated and relaxed.

Hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend and long may the sunshine continue 🙂
