Country Blog Retreat NI

Sunday just passed was spent at a lovely Country Bloggers Retreat organised by Emma at Lifeatthelittlewood. The retreat took place at the most gorgeous of locations in Larchfield Estate,ย the surroundings were absolutely stunning and the event itself could have easily rivaled a wedding with 145 guests in attendance. Emma definitely took on a mammoth task and excelled at all areas of organisation (as if there would be any doubt!). The event was flawless…well apart from a slight flurry of rain whilst we had a walk of the grounds but we even managed to power on through and take a million photos of all the beautiful spots.

Belfast Food Tour

Today Chris and I did the Belfast food tour. We received a gift voucher for the tour as part of our Christmas present from my parents but wanted to wait until we knew the weather would be brighter and also the kids wouldn’t be a nightmare for the babysitters ie the wonderful grandparents ๐Ÿ™‚ so the tour did not disappoint and thankfully neither did the children..but grandparents would say that anyway!

April 2017

April has been a pretty busy month for us so I thought I would do a little round up of what we have been up to; that and the fact ive become pretty useless at keeping the momentum of this blog going whilst on maternity turns out it’s not a 9 month holidays after all…just stating what every man thinks but rather quite a handfulย ๐Ÿ™‚

Lough Erne Resort and Spa

Back at the beginning of April Chris and Olivia took my parents away for the weekend to celebrate my dads 60th birthday…as if he hadn’t milked it enough celebrating every weekend from the 13th March I might add! Back at the start of the year when I was trying to think of what to get him or do for him I was really struggling for ideas and inspiration. It was only when I actually asked my dad what we would like to do and he said “just spend it all together” that I came up with the idea to go away for a few days to somewhere we hadn’t been before.

Easter 2016

After getting cleared up at work and home to pack up on Thursday evening we were ready to rock n roll to the North Coast on Good Friday. We got up first thing, had some breakfast and on the road for 9am. After about 40 mins into the journey we heard a painful cry from the back seat and when I turned around poor Olivia went bright red and then threw up everywhere! She went white as a sheet then all the colour came back into her cheeks and she was laughing away…ermm..what?!

March Madness

As soon as the 1st March rolled around my stress levels went into overdrive! I knew the busiest month of the year had rolled around for us in terms of birthday parties (we had 3 to go to) our anniversary (6 whole years woohoo!) milestone birthdays (my dads 60th and 2 friends 30ths) and our little daughter Olivias 2nd birthday, mothers dayย and my father in laws birthday to round the month off. And Breathe. Busy might not cover it infact maybe totally manic might be better ๐Ÿ™‚

Weekly Round Up

I’ve been lacking on the blog front the last few weeks so I can only apologise, I need to get back into the swing of it I know but in the meantime here is a little round-up of what we have been up to around the house ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Baking Buns

Sometimes it can be a long old Sunday especially if the weather is rubbish outside and nowhere really opens until 1pm so we decided to do some baking with Olivia. I could write how involved she got and how much she loved it but that would be a lie haha! She had much more fun just doing sprints up and down the kitchen and dragging everything out of the cupboards while Mummy and Daddy finished off the oat biscuits and tidied up. she was interested in the start so at least we got one photo ๐Ÿ™‚
