7 Activities Keeping Me Sane Through Lockdown

activities during lockdown

We are now nearly 2 months into lockdown and to be perfectly honest, I do not know where the time has gone. I think I realized quite quickly at the beginning that we where going to be in this for the long hall and I was in the mindset that I needed to be proactive to get through it. That mindset has been so beneficial in so many ways and I am so thankful I made that decision early.

Extending the Home

June 2016 was the month we decided to put an extension on our house. Having a baby on the way just wasnt enough we had to extend our home too ๐Ÿ™‚ The plans were drawn up, submitted, planning permission granted and the contractor well…. contracted. Once the foundation were put in I realised the actual size of the room was a lot bigger than I had expected which I was a bit nervous about but now its complete I love it.

Dangers of Maternity Leave

As the time draws closer to going back to work, you tend to reflect on how your maternity leave has been. Whilst nine months or even a year seems like such a long time, you blink and it is over. Match Made Perfect

When I was off last week I managed to escape out for some ‘Jillian time’ leaving the Hubby and daughter at home. To be fair I said the words ‘Dunelm Mill’ and the look of horror on Christophers face spoke volumes. Off I went to exchange bedding at Dunelm and call into Boots on the way home. I was due to get some make up but decided I wanted to try something different and after reading bazillions of blogs about Boots No 7 range I wanted to go in and speak to someone on the counter and get some advice.

I’ve religiously been wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear Light as it hardly feels like im wearing any foundation at all which I like. I am not a big make up fan in that I don’t wear a lot even when going out but I think that’s partly down to just not knowing what I suited and also all the effort that goes into it all. I have never been bothered with all the time it takes. Now that I rarely get out…thats an absolute lie we are spoilt rotten with grandparents wanting Olivia 24/7..beyond lucky.. I feel like now I would like to make more of an effort. It helps hide the tired mummy eyes too ๐Ÿ™‚ BONUS!
