Chris mentioned at the start of the year that he may have one, two, three perhaps five stag parties to go on this year what a struggle for him I know. I thought he can’t have all the fun so im going to arrange a trip of my very own and the one thing I’ve wanted to do for a couple of years is to visit my Sister in Law Stephanie in London. I’ve mentioned before that she has lived in London for 3 years and we just don’t see as much of her as we would like so thank goodness for Facetime and the fact that Chris can parent the life out of our girls he really is so hands on I knew he would survive 3 days no problem …plus Granny lives around the corner 🙂
Last week Chris and & I were treated to a wonderful 4 days in Budapest by my lovely Inlaws on a child free break away. While I would love to say it started off wonderful and romantic, I don’t think you can call fighting for the bathroom in order to throw up the most romantic of gestures ever!
Back at the beginning of April Chris and Olivia took my parents away for the weekend to celebrate my dads 60th birthday…as if he hadn’t milked it enough celebrating every weekend from the 13th March I might add! Back at the start of the year when I was trying to think of what to get him or do for him I was really struggling for ideas and inspiration. It was only when I actually asked my dad what we would like to do and he said “just spend it all together” that I came up with the idea to go away for a few days to somewhere we hadn’t been before.
After the events of last year celebrating Olivia’s 1st birthday, Chris and I decided to do something fun this year for her so that just the three of us could celebrate on the day. After going back and forth on ideas we eventually decided to go to Dublin overnight and visit Dublin Zoo on her actual birthday. For anyone who lives here in Northern Ireland/Ireland im sure you can appreciate that the weather can be hit or miss at the best of times let alone an outing in March but we thought lets just go for it and keep our fingers crossed. Thanks fully we weren’t disappointed 🙂
Between Christmas and New year Chris and I went to Manchester for 3 days for a kid free trip as part of his birthday present from his parents. The main purpose of the trip was to attend Old Trafford for the Manchester united vs Chelsea match. My Hubby is a United fan through and through…but dont mention how the season is going at the minute (Yikes!) and this was his tenth trip to the theatre of dreams and he is yet to see Manchester United lose there so he must bring some luck 🙂
I am so very luck to have been to New York several times and I’m in the process of planning another trip, fingers crossed, for next year with my friend. It all sounds great but whether I can leave my darling Olivia for a couple of days is yet to be seem! Being so fortunate I often get asked for some recommendation of what to do, where to go or if ive any tips for the city so I thought I would compile a few that I can then make reference back to for anyone that’s interested.
Lets get started….
